I DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR WEDDING, ALL I KNOW ROONEY SHOULD IMPROVE HIS SKILL,BE BETTER THAN RONALDO... HE WAS MUCH-MUCH BETTER WHEN HE WAS 18,19...FULL OF 'FIRE'

Chris.H.

I think the Wayne and Coleen "wedding or show" and the hype generated by the media regarding it, which is no doubt based on demand by the public is testament to how superficial the British way of life has become, we reward stupidity in this country and under value people who make the real contributions to society.

He "kicks a ball about" and shes a "hanger-on". Unfortunately its a combination of the UK media (TV news,"Red-Top rag Papers" etc) directing the brainless halfwits ("but dey enta tain us downt dey") of this country that these two and their celeb wedding are actually meaningful in someway.

There is something fundementally wrong with the "mindset" of the british people and the moral direction" this country when individuals like these generate so much interest, are portrayed as "inspirational" and are made role models???

Seta

They are very lucky couple. Hats off for Rooney for sticking with his chilhood sweetheart. Real commendable. They have managed to stay together despite celebrity pressures. I wish them well.

Carol Taylor, regarding your post below, it is truly depressing that you refer to 'Sex and the City' as an explanation as to how things should be. You are just as moronic as those clueless and basic characters on that show.

"A Sex and the City episode talking about a ring shaped like that should explain why such a thing is ghastly."

Are you serious?

N Genovese

Looks like the Rooney family is chalk full of white trash. The other posts are right: money does not buy class. Rooney looks like he should be roping goats in the country side. He probably has the social graces of a primate.

Carol Taylor

Rooney along with the rest of the Sports stars are paid too much for what they do for a living.....
You can't buy CLASS

Ashley

That ring is ugly, it's very old lady looking. If they were in America that would not fly. Women here don't want anything shaped oval, pear or anything of the like. A Sex and the City episode talking about a ring shaped like that should explian why such a thing is ghastly. Yuck! All that money and you couldn't pop into Harry Winston's and buy something nice??

Jack Johnson

Tell this chavs that class you don't buy it we born with it!!!

tom

I work in a well known superstore, and every day see people who are really struggling to afford to buy food and basically exist in this world.
You cannot blame these two very ordinary human beings for other peoples plight, but it is sickening to see the nonchalant way that they and others spend vast sums of money on their materialistic desires, when I see others having a really hard time of it.

Cedric

How can Rob B say they have earned it is obscene that they are paid these wages and have this much money to thow about. It is most other people who work hard to earn the money to pay for tickets to watch them play and get paid stupidly large wages. Must say they don't get a penny of my money.

Al

A couple of yery ordinary people trying their
very best to appear extraordinary.

bill gillen

"They have worked hard for it" What a stupid statement Freddie. The ordinary man and the pensioners who made the country are the hard workers, and they pay the players obscene wages. So Rooney rubs their noses in it. Run ning round a football field is not hard work. Movie stars get up to this abuse of money - football players are wannabees and nothing else.

joyce lunn

he gives the impression des jack the lad and a rough n ready lad reading the stories hes a softie and a romantic at heart i want one

Gina

Wow, what a ring. They have been together longer than some of these so called celebrities who just get married for the magazine deal. Good luck to them.

Rob B

Good Luck to them both, its nice to see as childhood sweet hearts they have followed things through together.

freddie

well what can one say.they have worked hard for it and have every right to spend it the way they want to.in the unlikely event that in say 10 or 20 yrs time he has lost it all,he just wont get my pity.I wont spend that much on wedding but hey, maybe i havent got that much to begin this kind of dream life.good luck to the Rooneys
