i am from sweden and have spent 2 years travelling new zealand. to call it a backwater country is ignorant. the scenery is amazing, the people fun and friendly and safe. jan, it just goes to show you dont know what the hell your talking about, you have probably never even been to n.z and your just angry because your probably a washed up jealous old prude who has nothing better to do then whinge about a country who beat your national rugby team. by a long shot, lets be honest now!

Yes they make England proud!....Lets score in every country so there might be English over there too. They come over here and steal are girls so why cant we go there and score!... everybody does it so why make abig thing out of it, Rugby men are MEN too, just cause you do or surport a sport does NOT change your Human Behavour.

I am a kiwi girl living in NZ and I would just like to say we do not have boring, dull lives and NZ isn't a 'backwater' country! Myself and everyone I know think that this girl Sophie is a complete joke and think what she has done is pathetic, it more than likely is the highlight of her life. But please don't lump us all in together! Kiwi girls are great! As for the team shaming Rugby and England etc I think they have to a point, but at the end of the day.. boys will be boys...

They have shamed themselves as well as rugby. I can't imagine any other team having these issues whilst on tour! No pride and no honour...maybe that's why the english suck at rugby.

Congratulations to the ones that scored off the pitch. Thats about the only place they do score.

Presumed guilty until found innocent, so much for English justice. Give the guys a break, they might be guilty of nothing more than a night out on the booze and on the pull -- and which single guy isn't guilty of that from time to time?

I am English and i am living in NZ (and its not a backwater country), This english touring rugby team are a disgrace they were supposed to be a good team who stood the best chance at beating the ABs, they played rubbish and were well and truly shown up by the ABs. Now we all know why. A two week all expenses paid binge drinking contest paid for by the RFU. I say name and shame the players involved and kick them into touch.

At last!

Some real penetration from the England backs!

I always knew they'd score eventually.

I've always been proud of English Rugby players until now and compared them to our scumbag footballers but alas can do that no more. All involved should never wear an England shirt again ! They should be proffesional and concentrate on the Rugby maybe then we would win a few games away in the Southern Hemisphere.

Every rugby player who has ever played the game, are laughing at the Tom, Dick and Harry's English players who were so naive. As professionals representing their country these players broke the rules - Mike Ashton was a hero on dropping his player for the pre-game nonsense - in spite of all of the bleeding hearts in England; the present English administrators are simply a joke in the world of professional sport; the NZ girls - well they were just being friendly, after all the All Blacks humiliated England again and the "innocent boys" needed some cheering up! So, Mr Andrews and Mr B(lawyer) hanger on, you were on the watch so who are you going to fire now. I think Mike Ashton knew you all too well and wisely is free and clear of the travelling English brothel.

"I was dancing and kissing with David when he said, ‘have you ever stayed at a Hilton before?' He had all the lines and all the moves," says Sophie. CLASS!! lol.

"The 22-year old beauty" Am I missing something?

What do these woman think of themselves, sex with strangers and then run to the highest paying newspaper to make another few quid anybody going to a hotel room with a STRANGER is as the saying goes asking for trouble .

This girl got to the bar at 3am? And the players had been there for 8 hours drinking?

By that account then, did they pop in at 7pm for a drink before the 8pm kick off time? To be fair, it would explain their efforts on the pitch!!

You don't have to be a lawyer to see through the story and evidence ladies and gents.....!!

It seems to me that every time NZ are involved in a sporting event there is some kind of 'scandal'.Remember NZ All Blacks were in South Africa for the World Cup,they accused somebody of poisoning them. Then there was the case of Ian Botham down-under and the drugs. To be quite honest, this young woman isn't exactly a supermodel is she?In fact she is very plain. If the bloke slept with her HE must have been drunk. These women live such boring, dull lives in backwaters like NZ.I bet this is the event of her life.

THE TROUBLE TODAY IS THAT THERE IS TOO MANY PEOPLE TRYING TO MAKE SOME FAST MONEY AND I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS YET ANOTHER CASE OF THIS

I think the players concerned have only themselves to blame for putting themselves in the position (excuse the pun) in the first place. It's a well known fact what players get up to on tour, and the women that go with these guys are just as low and degrading. What ever happened to the profesional sportsman? Martin Johnson will hopefully kick these guys into touch. - AB fan and supporter.

No complaint was made. Having read the story this girl sounds like a "Woman of the Night" I bet she got paid well for this story.

If any woman had been sexually assulted she would have made a statement, she didn't, so what does that say.

Agree, they are crap a rugby though, unlike the Saxons. Well done lads for retaining the Churchill Cup.

Good luck to the players who "scored" off the pitch with some real beauties, because the team are useless at rugby is neither here nor there.

Yes England has shamed english rugby, they are useless playing rugby. But of course they seemed to be kings drinking beer. Get rid of the lot of them.

You can now choose to be interviewed by The Police? Imagine if this was our Footballers!!!

It's not what you expect from Rugby Players, though knowing Martin Johnson, if they have brought shame they will be dropped & forgotten very quickly no matter who they are.

Of course, they haven't shamed rugby. What else do you expect if you put 20+ healthy, fit young men together for a few weeks without their wives - and good luck to them. This is just a case of people - and newspapers - sniping in order to have something to gossip about. Pathetic!
