i could never respect fern again she is a a now just another itv conner.what is so wrong telling he viewers that looked to her for inspiration when they to are struggling with thier wieght. I watched her on this morning and she is still conning get some cake, she is clearly nervous. What she did was wrong diet and exercise, you cant eat much food anyway with a gastric band. .You go around on you show infront of millions of viewers expecting honesty when the guest are interviewed and expect the truth from politions so that they themselves are not seen as lying to thier puplic.

It's a great idea, however the guys get little enough down time as it is these days, now you want them to march in their spare time, and with that comes all the practices? You've got to be kidding. They're hard enough to keep motivated as it is, get them marching all week and weekend and you'll really show them how much they mean.

Lads we LOVE you..........
NEVER forget that!!!!!!
Your Our Heroes........
Take Care and Keep Safe
Love Britain xxxxx

After 200 years of conflicts in all areas of the world ,our peace keeping forces have been blighted by the `ere do-gooders` as being pawns that are brain-washed to suit goverment needs. But as an ex soldier that has lost dear friends & comrades we were fighting for the democratic rights for the people that didn`t have a choice as we have.

November 11th should be remembered as should veterans day in june as a celebration of freedom for the families that have lost a dear one, that what they did wasn`t in vain.
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old,age shall not weary them nor the years condemn,& at the going down of the sun. WE WILL REMEMBER THEM!!!!

As a Veteran of the Royal Navy in World War II I was pleased to see that there will be a Veterans Day in the U.K., a deserved celebration and recognition of veterans that approximates to Memorial Day here in the U.S. On May 26, here in Ocala, Florida, at our beautiful Veterans Park, we will honor veterans of all wars, and sprinkled among the spectators will be just a handful of us old chaps who went to war as boys and were demobbed as men. Of course, this celebration is in addition to Veterans Day, held on November 11, as is Remembrance Day in Britain. I commend all who had a hand in making this event possible, and send my best wishes to all who take part.

some of us are veterans.but never saw real action.but we still served during the cold war!

its about time solders were reconised for the service they provide my only comcern is will they be allowed to march with pride through muslim townsi.e bradford blackburn without violence and fear it ofends there religon.

When a British serviceman/woman accepts the Queens shilling they accept that they may have to perform in any theatre that the Government decides to send them. Please support this campaign. I commend your article on support for the A.F.P.G. with regard to service pensions, this Government has shown its support for pension rights for personell serving prior to 1975 by doing everything in their power to block the actions by the A.F.P.G.

about time this country got its act together and lets make sure its permanent not to be forgotten in 2 years time.god bless the armed forces bring them all home safe...............

It will be a big respect towards our veterans to observe veterans day.I have full respect to our brave veterans who fought for their country and people to give freedom, security and peace. But I have a doubt who you are going to memorise when you can't give a full respect to the ''GURKHAS'' who put their lives in line to save Britain and British people from your enemies here and abroad in difficult time.Give respect and recognition the Gurkhas veterans who fought for this country valiantly in difficult moments, otherwise it will remain shadow somewhere even it is full sunny day in this very big day.

I served in the senior service from 1971 until 1993, until the falklands in the eighties I had seen little active service apart from the COD WAR in which ships were damaged and shots were fired (photos to prove) After the Falklands I did 2 tours in the Gulf war and as a result sustained internal injuries.

I was sent to a shore establishment pending a medical hearing which took almost 2 years. I was told that if I wanted to stay in the service I had to make a decision there & then as I was taking up a shore billet and stopping someone else from coming off a ship for a well desreved respite from sea duties.

I knew that they would send me back down the Falklands and they even hinted that that was were I would be drafted. How in sensitive of Admirals, Commodores and Captains to even suggest such a thing before even checking that the individual was okay with this and not suffering from any effects from his first encounter.

A fellow shipmate who was on the Sheffield with me returned to the UK had a weeks leave and was immediately sent back down the falklands on another type 42, what the hell was going through his mind knowing the the Admiralty in charge had already cocked up big time the first time round.

Even though I was in my last 18 months of time served and should be doing rehab cousres ready to enter civvy street I refused and was asked to leave the boardroom
Within 2 minutes I was called back in and was told that my services were no longer required, asked if I had civilian clothes and to remove my uniform as soon as possible as I was no longer in the Queens service.

No Thankyou, no can we do anything to help you, nothing. I support the armed forces whole heartedly and will do anything to ensure that they get the recognition that they deserve.

I lost 20 friends in the Falklands and a GREAT ship. Something I will never forget.
So yes give the military services the credit it deserves and make sure the MOD coughs up. Far to often we have been named and shamed in the way we treat our heroes (fallen & survivours)

Look at how our dead were treated compared to the Canadian dead returning back to their homland. If they can clear the steerts for a Royal funeral they can clear the streets for a defender of the crown

Yours Sincerely Ray Anderson

I support our Soldier's and Airmen but I think now is the time to bring them back.
This war will not be stoppt and if you have all seen the film with Nicolas Cage in War Lord, this film make's you think who is the one to blame for all this.
The ansewer is the govement's from all the different countrie's that supplie weapon's to the other side i.e. Russia,America,Great Britain
,Germany,France,etc.
BRING OUR MEN AND WOMEN BACK HOME

I was in the Gulf 91 conflict and have seen first hand what it can do to a person upon their return, back then we were greeted on the regimental square with a 24 pack of larger each and told to go and drown our sorrows! That's the couselling we got then, these guy's deserve more than that, we should suport them 100% and get behind them. Well done and good luck to all our troops, we should have va veterans day to thank them all.

I was married to a former Light Infantry soldier and many years ago, these celebrations was the norm and would be recognised all over.
I am so happy now that your paper has been the driving force behind this action for recognition and respect towards all servicemen/women.
Please continue the goodwork and help them get a better and much more decent barracks to live in as at the moment, army housing is the pits and the fault lies with the government.

we all should be very proud of our armed forces; we are the only country in the world that is not 100% behind our troops.

Good - now lets have the NOTW campaign for an increase in defence spending to 6.5% of GDP so they can do their jobs, live in decent conditions, be paid as much as plastic cops, attract recruits, retain the ones we've got and have the best kit. Oh by the way - a full time Minister of Defence too.

As the wife of an Ex Royal Marine and Mother of a serving member of The Royal Navy I am so gratefull that The News Of The World has taken up the fight to have a day in recognision of our brave and honourable Servicemen & Women.
Having visited The USA Canada and Australia it makes you ashamed when you see how their Service Personal and Vetrans are honoured and respected in comparrison to how our Service Personal are treated back home in THe UK.
First & Formost we must rid ourselves of the apathy that runs through our Society in these other Countries you are brought up to be proud of your Nation and it's Services and to honour those who are willing to stand in harms way on our behalf. Lets all make a stand on Vetrans Day and applaud our Service Personal past and present and show these Pen Pushers at the top these are Human Beings not just Statistics on a page.

Are the Gurkhas to be included or are they to be deported in favour of benifit funded Terry Taliban ???

Whereas there is no doubt that our armed forces are well trained and courageous, I find it a little offensive to endow them with the title 'HERO' when the world is aware of the unlawful and murderous activities perpetrated by them in Iraq.

If ANY action is wrong (whether in conflict or otherwise) it is hardly acceptable to expound the virtues of such action, less so when (in the case of Iraq) the whole issue has been exposed in the manner it has been.

Our troops are powerless to ignore their orders and they deserve sympathy for THAT reason, their courage is not in question but I do wonder if they feel comfortable being viewed as 'HEROES' when they consider the scale of destruction they have been obliged to involve themselves with.

God Bless them all, they know what they do but have no other choice than to do the bidding of those that led them into it.

least we forget words from the heart,at last a day to remember for all the service men women who with out the world would be no place to live.
but why o why do we not have a national day were everything isclosed to say a thank you
