im a single parent, well i say i am as i couldnt afford to live with my partner as i couldnt afford to work, ive just asked tax credit how much i would get and i would be about £15 a week worse off, as if im going to go to work to be worse off.

Whilst I am a stay at home mother of one, my partner goes out to work every day to provide for us while I raise our child until he can go to school, only then will I be able to return to work. We struggle financially and are entitled to NOTHING even though I paid into this benefit system for more than twenty years. We have never claimed a penny. I sickens me when I take my son to nursery and every leaflet you see is offering help of some kind or another to single/lone parents, parents on benefit, etc... yet again, nothing for the working family. We would be financially better off if we split our family up in todays society. I will not work while my son is under school age as my partner and I believe this is a time when he needs me around for guidance and to set ground rules, however if the unthinkable happened and my partner and I did split, then I would have to go to work - it's a pride thing after all. Whenever I'm out and about shopping etc. I talk about my son's father to him all the time saying things like 'what shall I get for daddy's sandwiches for work' because I feel as if some people look down at me for being a single mother on benefits when that is not the case. Like I say, I am a proud woman. These scroungers and benefit thieves have no pride.
People live off the state because they are allowed to. If one government refused to pay for more than two children to each family, they may go find a job. The english people have become a bunch of scroungers and our governments have assisted in this. We have a qualified teacher from abroad with 11 children claiming more on the dole than he can earn. Women come from poland to have their babies because it costs nothing and then they go home, talk about leeches. Its time to protect the people who fill the countries coffers and force the idle into work.

Unless the government want to start sterilizing the people as well, the only solution to this sort of thing is to stop subsidizing it.

But this isn't enough, I want to make my daughter proud and work for her and more importantly EARN a living. I love working and coming home at the end of the day and feeling I've made a difference and I love going to the bank and getting my wage at the end of the week/month. I have ammence respect for people who work and hoepfully if the employers that are offering jobs I'm interested in, I can be in work, too.

Me and my fiancee (who suffered from depression and wasn't working at the time) moved in together about a year ago and instantly were worse off than when we were living separately. She should have lost all her benefits as i was working (however we couldn't have coped on my low wages at the time so continued to claim in order to be able to afford the basics needed to live!) We actually worked out we'd be better off as a couple if she started renting the house next door (and this in the middle of a period where there is insufficient housing!) Since then her condition has improved a great deal. She recently started working 20 hours a week. Once again, we have ended up with about £100 a month less than when she was on benefits as she now gets no housing benefit, council tax benefit, income support, free prescriptions, etc.
There is little or no incentive to work any more, so it's little wonder so many choose not to.
this country has gone to the dogs there are tens of thousands of people like mr macdonald, and the underclass just gets bigger, his seven kids will doubtless end up like him and so the cycle goes on. Meanwhile the only answer the politicians have is thro money at them work and education are what is required.

Would people like Keith MacDonald and the mothers of his children be so keen to have all these kids if they had to work and pay for them? I think the government will find the answer to that question is a big fat no. If the government are stupid enough to pay out benefits to keep these people, then people like Keith and the mothers will carry on claiming. Keith MacDonald would have to find a job paying at least 6 figures a year to keep his children and their mothers in the same life style as they are currently in. Most people with half a brain know this will never happen, so as long as the government are prepared to pay for it nothing will change. If everything is handed to them on a plate, where is the incentive for these people to work for a living? im dissabled from the age of 18 im now 50 and have worked full time. in this period not once have i ever had any money from any govt dept or have i claimed from any body for help, my partner is a kidney dyalis patient waiting for transplant who still does a part time job and when was in hospital and unable to work for several weeks and applied for a bennefit was refused and told she had not paid enough stamp even though she has worked thirty years prior to having our son who is 18 now and guess what does a partime job as well as goes to college,oh i forgot he gets ten pound a week ema money if we didnot work he whould get 30 pound a week . it seems if you just become a layabout and father several children with out a care as to how these children are going to be paid for what an easy life these scroungers have and why did these girls get pregnant probably so the can have a council house if they can not pay the rent dont worry the people that work will foot the bill after all they will not put them on the streets how can they so no wonder the working honest people of this country give up what chance have we got unless you are a scrounger and no how to use the system and if they don,t the c.a.b will help them get what they want, money ,house,food, drink ,fags,drugs easy isnt it.

Simple way to stop this overnight is you only qualify for benifits if you have worked and paid taxes
e.g youwork two years you are entitled to two years worth of benifits if you dont work then you should get nothing

i have worked all my life but i dont mind him or his partners or the women he got prengent getting state benifits just has long he is british he has very right to our state benifit its the others we dont want to have them.

I read your article on this lazy scrounger maybe the next time he chats some girl on the bus she has the common sense to say no i have worked since i was 13 pay national insurance since i was sixteen gave up my job in january (was being bullied by a work mate) went to claim benefits my national insurance allows got mis leading information from jobcentre ending up with £60 per week to keep 3 of us maybe i would be better of if i got rid of my husband no wonder there is more single parents every day now i know where my national insurance goes to not to me my savings run out in couple of weeks anyone know where there is a victorian workhouse i need one

When there is no incentive to work, infact there is an incentive not to work for these people. He would need a weel paid job to look after these kids & lets be honest from what he says he isnt the sharperst tool in the box.

I am a single mother thru no fault of my own, however, I go to work. I work 20hrs a week (I used to work full-time) but I don't get any help from anywhere. The government would rather see me suffer for going to work, than if I sat at home on my backside all day. This thing is a disgrace, he should be forced to work and every penny should be shared out between his children, with just enough for him to pay his rent and eat. We need to put a stop to people like him anyway we can and if that means forced vasectomy then so be it, as for the stupid girls, they should be ashamed as it does take 2 to tango. There is plenty of contraception about, or haven't they heard of family planning?????

i read your article in the news of the world on sunday about the useless scrounger with seven kids to seven GIRLS, although i believe that he should of been castrated at birth i cant help but think what about the seven little tarts that slept with him. do they not have minds of their own is the word NO not in their vocabulary. why is it that we always have to pay for them, we work hard all our lives just to pay for the ones who are to lazy and useless to get off their backsides and get a job. what about those kids what is their live gonna be like? its time you stopped funding for them and give us hard working people a break.

Does the government ever do anything about real issues that matter in this country ? NO they dont.

Its really simple to stop these baby machines from breeding like rabbits.Force the fathers to work six days a week on community services or they get no benefits and put the mothers who have babys outside of marriage into homes where they have to work towards the maintainance and the upkeep of their kids.im sick of reading about this scum breeding and expecting the workers of britain to house and maintain their mistakes.and the girls need to work (a lot of women work and bring kids up) i have found most single parents just sit on their arse and expect others to pick up the bills.....clamp down on our benefit system to give the tax payer value for money....make the lazy bastards work.

Would people like Keith MacDonald and the mothers of his children be so keen to have all these kids if they had to work and pay for them? I think the government will find the answer to that question is a big fat no. If the government are stupid enough to pay out benefits to keep these people, then people like Keith and the mothers will carry on claiming. Keith MacDonald would have to find a job paying at least 6 figures a year to keep his children and their mothers in the same life style as they are currently in. Most people with half a brain know this will never happen, so as long as the government are prepared to pay for it nothing will change. If everything is handed to them on a plate, where is the incentive for these people to work for a living? The children will no doubt grow up believing that it doesn’t matter if you get pregnant at a young age, because the government will take care of you and house you. Is it any wonder society is broken in Britain!
It’s about time a government is elected that will have the guts to tackle this ever increasing problem and make people financially and morally responsible for their own actions instead of relying on the gullible hard working tax payer to cover the bill.
It’s time to wake up and tackle the problem Mr Brown and if you’re not up to the job, do the decent thing and move aside and let someone in who will.

im dissabled from the age of 18 im now 50 and have worked full time. in this period not once have i ever had any money from any govt dept or have i claimed from any body for help, my partner is a kidney dyalis patient waiting for transplant who still does a part time job and when was in hospital and unable to work for several weeks and applied for a bennefit was refused and told she had not paid enough stamp even though she has worked thirty years prior to having our son who is 18 now and guess what does a partime job as well as goes to college,oh i forgot he gets ten pound a week ema money if we didnot work he whould get 30 pound a week . it seems if you just become a layabout and father several children with out a care as to how these children are going to be paid for what an easy life these scroungers have and why did these girls get pregnant probably so the can have a council house if they can not pay the rent dont worry the people that work will foot the bill after all they will not put them on the streets how can they so no wonder the working honest people of this country give up what chance have we got unless you are a scrounger and no how to use the system and if they don,t the c.a.b will help them get what they want, money ,house,food, drink ,fags,drugs easy isnt it.

If the government wants to pay scroungers then let them pay them out of their big fat wages and expenses, why should ordinary hard working people have to substitute these dead leg layabouts, and the women who have their children are no better, have they never tried saying NO. We are both working and struggle to manage, whilst these dead legs and immigrants
etc seem to get everything they want for nothing. Would we get the same if we went to their country. No! so why should we give it away to bone idle layabouts and spongers. Send the foreigners home and enlist the dead legs in the army, make them work for a living and so something useful in their lives that doesn't involve procreacting.
