Whether you like Paul or not, Diana is the one who made her own decisions, good, bad or ugly, she made them and is accountable for her decisions, noone else, and noone else is to blame. A very colorful figure, with a very colorful life, and people will be writing about her for years to come, as no doubt, there has been a lot not written yet, so if it angers people to read these things, remember it was her that made the choices she did, her that acted on them, and only her that can answer for them. Obviously everyone here likes to read about her, but to get angry at anyone for speaking the truth as they see it, as they witnessed it, or heard others witness it, is ludicrous. So easy to blame the person writing about her, what about her? If you are angry, why not be angry at her for making the bad choices she did, not blaming the writer, Charles, Camilla, her family, her friends, just her. I loved her to, and love to read about her, but I am not angry at anyone. She was a public figure, Britain paid well for her celebrity, and in my opinion, she could have made a lot better choices to have made the people there proud, but she didn't. Her celebrity went to her head and though she did a lot of good works, she was a troubled individual, of her own making, as all of us are. Get over it, she was who she was, of her own making, and if Paul or anyone else wants to write about this troubled woman, so be it. We all read it, we like to read about it, but want to blame someone else for her pathetic life, one of her own making. Just like anyone else in this world, she has herself to blame, so do you and I, for when life is over, we can't say it was someone else's fault, we made the decisions, we thought them out, we acted on them, or not, and she did the same. I do feel bad for her boys, but there again, they have to make thier own decisions too, just like thier mother did, and they will be written about too, they are public figures, they owe a debt to thier country for who they are and what they have, so if it turns out scandalous, they, as thier mother or father, make thier own decisions that will always be written about, the people have a right to know, and that is a fact.

At the Supermarket today, I glanced at the headlines of one of the tabloids - couldn't believe what I read! Apparently Burrel has been bragging that he slept with Princess Diana.. This guy makes James Hewitt look decent! (Funnily enough, I can see what she fancied in Hewitt). I'm sure that Princess Diana preferred her men more masculine - Burrel has always come across as a mere wimp! He obviously has been forgotten by the public, so he's trying to worm his way back into it. Hope he stays in the US forever more. He is a toe-rag and a disgrace to his queen and country.

I would not believe one word that Burrell says about members of the Royal family. I think his latest comments have been made because he knows no one can dispute them. I do not think fo rone moment that Dianne would even want to have sex with such an unbareable person as Burrell. He should be locked up for making such comments. Stay away from the UK Burrel you are not wanted here.

Why shouldn't Paul Burrell make money writing a book about a famous person? Those who don't like it don't have to read it.

Wait...Paul moved to America? I didn't know that! Well, as long as he stays far far away from me and my friends and family, I'm fine with that. America is the land of second chances after all.

I hate to burst your English bubbles, but actually we in America had no idea Paul Burrell had even moved here. He certainly is not the celebrity you think he is. He rarely even makes the tabloids, and I do mean rarely.
Love ya, mates!

by placeing her trust in the servant Burrell, it only serves to prove just how out of control the princess actually was.may she rest in peace now.

God knows how many more lies he told to get what he wants, money and being famous.
Maybe he has not been such a great pal to Diana as he makes out.
After all he was only an enployee, Butler and a servant.

Paul Burrell was treated badly by the Royal family. He was Princesses confidant and was like a surrogate father to the two princes when diana's marriage ended. His own Children are the same age as the princes and they used to play together a lot. I don't blame Paul for securing his future by writing a couple of books. There are lots of people who have written books about Diana who are far less qualified to do so and he hasn't betrayed any great secrets that have shamed her.
My only surprise is that it took him so long to do it. He is a genuinely nice person and you shouldn't always believe what you read in the papers.

Princess Diana did not approve of "gay bashing".
It has been 2 decades since gay bashing was socially acceptable in polite company.
As for Paul Burrel making money off of his business connnections. Historically, royalty and nobility were making money off of connections: Family, political, business, and brothers-in-arms connections.
Today, successful people in all walks of life use family, home town, business, old school, and political connections.
Why should Paul Burrel be the only person in the world not allowed to do so?
It is like all the silly common law couples and divorced people criticizing Charles and Camilla. It may be less fun, but we should be less hypocritical and to start thinking of morals as something that apply to all of us.

No, he hasn't. He has been discreet. That served their interests.
You are the ones who are shaming them by trying to disgrace him.
Can you see the distinction?

Why should william & Harry have to put up with Paul Burrel. I hate to think what effect its having on them. Paul Burrel don't care he is only interested in making money and betraying the trust he was supposed to protect.

I think we home in on people like Paul Burrell as light relief against all the terrible things that are happening in the world. He therefore performs a much needed service i.e. giving us all a good laugh!!!

Paul Burrell is now in America making a mint from flogging the memory of Diana. Personally I think that is very wrong but maybe if the royals took better care of their ex-employees who in many cases have devoted their lives to their service, the Paul's of this world wouldn't prostitute dead royals memories. I used to be a great supporter of Paul Burrell but in later years he has been shown to be self obsessed and he definately believes his own publicity. Only in America would he be feted as if he was royal himself. He says he is the keeper of many secrets but I'm wondering if he can be trusted with them. When his star begins to wane will he leak yet another unknown tit-bit to heighten his profile? Only time will tell but Philip Schofield was right on This Morning when he said that Paul may have been Diana's rock but she is his pension.

Princess Diana was a young lady going though a trobled marrage and needed a freind ,shame it was Burrell he know what he was doing from the start, and after her death he played his hand .nasty eval man i would lock him up .surely he as broken some law silance code?
Posted by: Margaret Collins | February 24, 2008 at 04:13 PM
paul burrell was just an insignificant nobody, who was the classic hanger-on. his comments on the royals bring him attention he wouldn't merit on his own. If diana meant anything at all to him, he must know deep down he's a genuine judas

I HOPE BURREL GETS WHAT HE DESERVES HES A DISGRACE TO THE HUMAN RACE .JUST A MONEY GRABBING CREEP.

Burrell immoral, Pot Kettle come on if this was a famous film star all the newspapers would be singing his praises...
As for the princess of wales, i feel sorry for the boys losing a mother but she did all she could to destroy the royals and what about the affairs!! If she wasn't in the paper one day she made darn sure she was in it the next by pulling off some "feel sorry for me" "me, me, me"stunt!!
Now we have this complete waste of time inquest and i hope al fayed picks up the whole bill as sensible people in Britain aren't interested mate!!

I think Paul Burrell's 15 minutes of fame are up. If he wants to be gay that's his business he doesn't need to share it with everyone else. I think people have finally realised just what a loser this guy is.
Posted by: Little_Miss_Sunshine | February 24, 2008 at 01:22 PM
oh who cares, its glaringly obvious he was gay the moment he opens his mouth!!!! and why the fuss over Diana losing her HRH, it went with the job, lets not forget she married in to the royals and when the job went the title went. load of fuss about nothing, about time diana was allowed to rest in peace
