These prelates live in cocooned exclusivity and they don't know the real world outside of their gilded places. He needs to go. What is a Christian head of a church advocating a 7th century barbaric,primitive,cruel set of laws be incorporated into UK laws? He is not living in the real world.
Send him at Government expense to either Iran or Saudi Arabia to see how real Sharia works, not the sanitized version being displayed by the Muslim forums in this Country. He needs to be forcibly retired and put out to pasture.

It would be interesting to see how trying to introduce Sharia law would conflict with our equal rights law: as a basic tenet of Sharia law is that women are not treated as equal to men. I find Williams' comments offensive, and very scary, and hope that Britain will remain a state governed by SECULAR law - I work very hard, pay taxes and refuse to be treated as a second class citizen.

lets get down to it shall we, this 'sharia law' rubbish includes:

1. limbs are amputated for theft
2. Adulterors are stoned to death
3. No freedom of speech
4. You can be sentenced to death for blasphemy
5. Women have little if not no rights (A 16 year old girl in Iran was hung for protecting herself against rape)

Taj, you say that a large number of Muslins were born in Britain and that we always involve Muslim states. The fact is even if they were born here a large number of them seem to have more loyality to the Islamic states than their own counrty, which ,by the way let their ansestors come here and settle!

This has got nothing to do with colour etc it is about being loyal to the country which has given you a decent life and opportunities.
I am sick to death of muslims moaning constantly about life in this country.
