Spanish giants refuse to give up chase
REAL'S FINAL £60m RONALDO BID
By ROB SHEPHERD
REAL MADRID are preparing one final £60million bid to land Cristiano Ronaldo.
Manchester United insist their Portuguese winger is not for sale. But last night Real boss Bernd Schuster confirmed: “The club are working hard to get a solution. We knew it was going to be very complicated.
“It’s not going to be easy for Ronaldo to come to Madrid but we will have to see.”
Ronaldo, 23, is due to return to United this week after his holiday following his ankle op.
And Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson hopes to end the summer’s longest transfer saga by finally convincing the wing wizard to stay in England.
However, Schuster added: “Do I still want to sign Ronaldo? What a question. Of course I do. If you ask any coach that question then every single one of them would want Ronaldo. He is a great player. One of the best.”
Real are on the verge of agreeing a deal with Hamburg for Dutch midfielder Rafael Van der Vaart — who notably did not feature in Real’s 2-1 win over the Germans in the Emirates Cup yesterday.
Some people will never learn.
Real Madrid are a disgrace to football.

What don't they understand about 'not for sale'. Dirty tricks may have signed players in the past, but it wont work now with Manchester United. Madrid should sit down and review what they have done over all summer and feel shamed the way they have acted. They have no consideration for any club besides their own. I hope this saga opens up player's eyes on what not such a great club Madrid are.

You mancs are hypocritical in the the extreme. Your club has been doing this sort of thing for years, "Bullying" smaller clubs into selling their best players and now that you are sampling a bit of it yourself you suddenly find it disgraceful!

All clubs are hypocritical when it comes to transfers and they all look to buy players from each other. The point with Madrid is they have made no bid and Ronaldo not asked for a transfer. Big clubs make bids openly whether you like it or not.

I think as much as manchester united fans adore cristiano , his heart is not at manchester anymore and he has insisted over and over again that he wants to leave for spain . As a cristiano ronaldo fan myself i would love him to stay as he is the best player ive ever seen and he has so much to give for the club and fans .

Please, let him transfer to Real, by 70M Pounds.
if not, it is dignity of Manutd to keep this prety player. Please, Ronaldo, you should be keep your prommis for Manutd. I know it is busness but not life.
Thank you,

I think its time to sell Ronaldo, why waste time in convincing him to stay he obvoisly doesnt care about United any more. Get as much as we can for him, no player is greater than the club and we will move on like we always do.They only want him to sell shirts just like Beckham.Get rid now and lets have the league title again this year and sod Ronaldo.

I would rather have Ronaldo leave now rather than next season as this gives Sir Alex more time rebuild another successful squad without Ronaldo, since he is already decided to to retire in the next 3 years. And when it comes to Cristiano Ronaldo, his disloyalty to the club is shoking and if he does decide to leave, good luck Real Madrid.

Real Madrid just dont get the point.. HES NOT FOR SALE!. They dont even need him for there squad.. they have robinho who is world class and plays in the same position as ronaldo so i dont see y they want him. I Hate Real Madrid for stealing man uniteds top players E.G. David Beckham, Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

If C.Ronaldo dont want to stay great Man Utd, and Real Madrid are willing to pay 60M in cash i think thats Jackpot Bingo, we can buy Lionel Messi and Ricardo Queresma for combined 30M, Messi & Queresma have both exellent talent and Man UTD will be far from setback by Ronaldo loss to Real Madrid. Lets be realistic its immoral to keep a club player while clubs release or reduce their players wages when they old or out of form. Sell him easy as that.

MU should have contacted Cristiano Ronaldo when this saga started at the time of his romance with Nereida. Now i guess CR is worried about the MU fans. In Portugal we dont real talk much about this matter but the general opinion is for CR to stay with MU and to honour his contract. He's too young to go to Real Madrid ! But who knows whats in his heart ? is he happy at the club is he happy with the way of life ? nobody knows but himself.

As Real Madrid fan i dont think we are stealing anything from Utd. If the boy wants to return to the peninsula iberica why not?? i bet he will have a bit more sun and women than in england. Any last offer for him... may do £35 million + Saviola and Dudek (Not bad to cover the goalkeeper (as Saint Iker is NOT FOR SALE)...
Anyway... I dont think Utd sets the best example in their behaviour when buying players. I.E. Mr Rooney... Louis Saha..!!
Anyway mancs....see you in Rome in the 27th of may... the 10th is just WHITE!!! Hala Madrid and VIVA ESPANA!!(We are the champions)
PS: Any suggestions? Contact Avd. COncha Espina n.1 Santiago Bernabeu will answer!! hasta la vista amigos!!

The problem is that Ronaldo's manager mr. mendes has signed already a pre-agreement with real and in case of rupture ronaldo has to pay real madrid 20 million euros.

For those fanatic fan of C.R. and R.M. the player has a contract with ManUnited and if Manunited is not willin to sell, that's it.
But if R.M. is willing to buy and ManUnited is willing to sell, is Real Madrid in a position to put 120 millions on the table ???
The price is made by ManUnited not from R.M.
By the way why R.M. doen's let Robinho go to Chelsea. Here also is the boy wishes, or it worksd only for one side?
Have 120 million Euros ready and may be, may be we MAY TAKE C.R.

The game will go on, United will not stop, Ronaldo stays or not.
Ronaldo did not win Man_Utd the champions league, United won it for him.
He has been lucky to play under Sir Alex and the best players in the world who love football more than money.
At Madrid, there is no growth, they just buy talent and make "show buizness" out of it.
I will feel sad but what bothers me is that Ronaldo has never said what United means to him.
