West Brom want Blades star Michael Tonge
TONGE CHASE
WEST BROM hope to boost their squad for the Premier League with a £2million bid for Sheffield United midfielder Michael Tonge.
The ex-Manchester United youth star has played almost 300 games for the Blades but is still only 25.
His form at Bramall Lane last season suggested he was ready for a fresh start.
a player i've always liked, could be a good addition to the squad, still feel we need 2 quality centre halves,a combative midfielder & a top quality striker,to add to the existing team, then i feel we would have a great season,in tony mowbray the baggies fans trust 100%,he is just sheer class.

Kevin Blackwell is a huge admirer of tonge and will not let him go unless he wants to.
We (sheff u) have no desire to sell our best players and the manager himself said this is pure speculation.
I cant see michael going, the statement about tonge's form last season is harsh as under Bryan Robson nobody played well. He turned it around and played with passion following Blackwells introduction
