Martin O'Neill launches move for giant Serb striker
VILLA £5m BID FOR ZIGIC
ASTON VILLA have tabled a £5million bid for giant Serb striker Nikola Zigic.
Valencia have confirmed they have received an offer from an English club for the 6ft 7in marksman, who has been told he is not part of new coach Unai Emery’s plans.
Sporting director Juan Sanchez said: “The player and his agent know about the offer and we expect them to make a decision in the coming days.”
Zigic has also attracted interest from clubs in France and Greece but is thought to favour a move to the Premier League.
He has been linked with Fulham, Manchester City and Bolton.
record for previous clubs in the past at all levels
AIK Bačka Topola - 76 games - 68 goals
Mornar Bar - 23 games - 15 goals
Kolubara Lazarevac - 26 games - 10 goals
Spartak Subotica - 11 games - 14 goals
Red Star Belgrade - 110 games - 71 goals
Racing Santander - 32 games - 11 goals
Valencia - 14 games - 1 goal
From what i have read he is like a Peter Crouch player but alot better at what he does - from looking at those score stats i'd say thats 100% true to the core - and at £5m he could prove to be a great signing
