Wayne lifts lid on partnership with Tevez and Ronaldo
ROONEY'S HOLY TRINITY
By DAVID HARRISON
WAYNE ROONEY has lifted the lid on the chemistry that makes his link-up with Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez the most explosive mix in European football.
The England star is backing Manchester United's new Holy Trinity to fire the club to Champions League glory in Moscow on Wednesday.
Between them they have scored 79 goals this season and Rooney reveals the combination works so well because of the effort they put in on the training ground.
But like the famous 1960s trio of Denis Law, George Best and Bobby Charlton, Rooney reckons the current crop also rely on pure instinct to help rip apart opposition defences.

Rooney said: "We work together in training, on combining with each other and it has really paid off. I think all three of us are suited to United's style of defending, then counter-attacking with pace!
"We don't have one player who just stays up front and stands there. We all like to move around and always try to make it difficult for defenders.
"I think we realise where the space is on the pitch, so when you see a team-mate running into one area, you just run a different way. Part of that is instinct. You naturally move towards a space where you can be a threat to the defence."
Rooney admits he has been overwhelmed by the individual performances of his co-strikers.
He said: "Carlos has been brilliant. His strength is unbelievable and he has that ability to change games for us.
"Cristiano has just been incredible and I'm sure he'll be named World Player of the Year."

Rooney for me your the best out of the lot, you work rate and loyalty to the club means to much to the fans, keep it up.

Ronaldo may be a good player but he's not very smart, sure he can make lots of money but he's never gonna be a great like George Best, Bobby Charlton or Cantona ect why, because he has no respect for his fellow team mates or SAF. He truly beleaves that he is God of soccer. When he plays against tough oppostion you never see him until a penelty kick needs to be taken, and how many guys miss from the spot ? not many. Ronaldo grow up and look at the team you have been privelage to play for, you will have to play for along time and with a team like Manu to collect as much silver as the like as Giggs, Scholes, Gary Nevel need i say any more. Conclusion if all these news haedlines are true, get rid of him, sure we may drop a few goals but thats all, but we will have dropped a trouble maker as well. MANU FOR EVER

Everyone goes on about how great Rooney is but what makes a great footballer is not just about goal scoring its about fair play and keeping your mouth shut, something which Rooney cannot do keeping his mouth shut and getting on with,Do not compare him with Best, & Charlton,he wont live long enough to achieve these players heights
