QUEENS PARK RANGERS hope to tie up a deal for Peter Ramage despite boss Luigi De Canio's departure.

The Newcastle defender was offered a three-year deal after meeting De Canio — axed on Thursday — and chairman Gianni Paladini earlier this week.

Ramage, 24, wants to leave Newcastle and his contract expires next month. Norwich and Wolves are interested but QPR are his preferred choice.
