MEARS TO BORO

TYRONE MEARS is set for a £500,000 summer move to Middlesbrough.

The Derby full-back's season was blighted by injury and Boro will agree to pay a bigger fee based on his appearances next season.

That will mean 25-year-old Mears, who can play on the right-hand side of defence or midfield, could cost them up to £1million.
