SHOLA DEAL DROPPED
STOKE chairman Peter Coates is ready to axe Shola Ameobi's £4million move to the Britannia Stadium.
City paid a £600,000 loan fee for the Newcastle hitman to boost their successful promotion campaign and a permanent deal was expected to be completed in the summer.
entBut Ameobi is not keen on the idea of staying with Stoke and chairman Coates admits the Potters are not desperate to keep him.
He said: "It is my understanding that the deal was never binding in the first place.
"Whether we still want him or not is clearly a footballing decision for the manager to make."
