Duffy takes on old rockers in Mojo shortlist

Songbird Duffy is squaring up to grizzly rockers Robert Plant and Nick Cave in a battle for awards chosen by music lovers.
The 23-year-old singer has gatecrashed nominations in the poll voted for by readers of rock-junkies' mag Mojo. Altogether the Welsh songstress is up for three awards: Breakthrough Artist, Best Album and Song of the Year.
Arctic Monkey Alex Turner is also one of the new breed taking on the oldsters: as well nominations for his day job (best live act, best album) the cheeky crooner's side project Last Shadow Puppets is also up for two gongs.
The Monkeys also find themselves snapping at the heels of Neil Young, Led Zeppelin and Seasick Steve in the live music category.
The awards show will take place in London on 16th June. The full list of nominees is as follows:
