Hi Leona, my question is: Do you enjoy adding different parts to the songs when singing live? As a fan, I can say I really appreciate hearing a different version to the song rather than the studio version all the time so it's awesome when you add different notes to live performances to change it up a bit. :) Must get boring for you too to sing the same song over and over!

Posted by: Adrian | February 15, 2008 at 04:00 PM

LEONA SAYS: I never get bored of singing the songs, as they mean so much to me, I get lost in the lyrics and performance. I do like to play around a bit though each time I perform, I enjoy every performance.

What advice would you give to quieter people to stay true to themselves like you have?

Posted by: Georgia | February 15, 2008 at 04:30 PM

LEONA SAYS: My advice would be: follow your heart, treat other people like you'd want to be treated yourself, and don't let anyone pressure you into changing or doing something you're uncomfortable with and follow your instincts and your dreams!

---
Just would like to say, can we expect any surprises with your Brit performance on wednesday? I'm REALLY looking forward to it :)

Posted by: Luke | February 15, 2008 at 05:35 PM

LEONA SAYS: Well if I told you that Luke it wouldn't be a surprise! I'm really looking forward to it  - it's such an unbelievable honour to be asked to perform at the Brits, there will be some surprises and I've had a great time planning for it and being really creative with it - I hope everyone will enjoy it too!

Hi Leona
Congratulations on all your success.
Just wanted to ask whether you will be doing a duet with Akon on the new track which you are recording for the US release of Spirit.

Posted by: Aidan | February 15, 2008 at 06:58 PM

LEONA SAYS: Hi Aidan, in fact I'm in the studio in London at the moment with Akon recording the new track, its not a duet but he is producing it - we are having great fun, he's fantastic to work with.

---
Hi Leona, my question is;
1) When will you be touring the UK? any plans or an approximate time of the year?
Thanks, and good luck at the Brits - ive voted soo many times lol

Posted by: Adam | February 15, 2008 at 07:31 PM

LEONA SAYS: I’m planning a big tour and can’t wait for that – I don’t think it will be this year though - at the moment its planned for 2010 but I'm hoping to really make it worth the wait for everyone who has shown me so much support!

---

Hi Leona, first of all congrats on everything...your doin a great job! My questions:
(by the way, just choose one of mine coz u have to get through so many others! lol)
-When will you be touring the UK?
-If you could do a duet with anyone, who would it be?
-Is there any music video director that you would like to work with in the future?

Posted by: mark | February 15, 2008 at 06:44 PM
LEONA SAYS: Hi, I really enjoyed working with Sophie Muller last week who was the director for the video Better in Time, she was so inspirational. It should be ready quite soon in the next week or so and you will be able to see that on my website -  I hope you will like it!

Hi Leona!

Hi Leona , a massive congratulations on your success so far , you truly deserve it! May this winning streak continue in the States for you , which I'm sure it will.

Well I've got 2 questions for you!

1) Is it ever surprising to you to find out how much support you have back home? You are one of the few artists who I know of that hardly anyone I know can say something bad about. Does that support drive you to do much better?

2) When writing or co-writing songs such as Whatever it Takes,Here I Am and Forgiveness , how do you put your thoughts into words and where do you initial ideas for the song come from?

Thanks for taking the time to answer and the best of luck with the Brits from Nidal and your other fans from the Leona Lewis Appreciation thread on the Digital Spy forums!

LEONA SAYS: When I'm writing songs and  when I'm performing a lot of the emotions that I draw on are things I have been through or my friends and family have been through and experienced.

Congratulations on all your success, you have done amazingly well over the last year and I know you will do great in the US

My question is how do you manage to sing Bleeding love over and over at different events and appearances and do you get much chance to rest your voice

I must say a big congrat to you Leona for your success so far, you made me and every other black proud in UK, before now the music industry has been dominated by white but you came to show that music belongs to the matured mind irrespective of colour. More greese to your elbow.
My question is will you ever tour any African nation?

James

Dear Leona,

My name is Ainura, I am working part-time as a nanny for the boy who is ill with Autism.

My boy loves your song "Keep bleeding Love" so much, so he was listening to it all the time. So, what we (his mum and other nannies) have done- to let him listen to it as a big reward. It means if he will be good boy- he listents to his favourite song. He is doing well and all the time his morning starts with his song.

Our boy is going to be 8 this June. I would like to ask you and your team to find your time from your very busy schedule to visit his school, which is for children with autistic
disorder to have fantastic day in their lives.

Could you please let me know- is it possible to organise your visit to our school?

I am looking forward to hearing from you in this reagrd.

Thank you very much in advance for your understanding and kind support.

Yours sincerely,

Ainura
