Ian Brown, Brixton Academy

Even whilst dancing like a dad and singing out of tune, he makes up for it with Madchester style and swagger.

Crowd favorites were the Roses classics 'I Want To Be Adored', 'I Am The Resurrection' and his solo single 'F.E.A.R.' His band brought a new angle with percussive flair and beefed up guitar parts.

Singing tracks from his new album 'The World Is Yours'  Brown spoke plainly and simply with a delivery that cuts deep, and shows his unique creativity.

His new direction owes everything to album collaborations with former Sex Pistols  Steve Jones, Paul Cook and former Happy Mondays bassist Paul Ryder.

The highlight of the night was the third encore, an explosive cover of the 'Pistols' classic Anarchy in the UK, leaving people drenched in beer and sweat.

His ability to fill Brixton academy with a loyal following shows he's moved on with the same energy and charisma, the crowd knew what they were going to get, he delivered.

Gentleman Jim
