Dead goes live

Shaun Microsoft is pushing ahead to deliver its “360 degree entertainment package” with new deals to expand its rentable movie content.

The’ve announced a partnership this week with NBC Universal International Television Distribution to release a range of blockbusters including The Fast and The Furious, Wanted and Incredible Hulk (2008), Child’s Play 3 and Scarface.

Adding to their catalogue from Warner Bros and Paramount Pictures, there’s a total of 30 new titles to choose from.

But our favourite has to be Simon Pegg’s Brit hit Shaun Of The Dead, a hilarious zombie horror spoof.


There’s also a shedload of extra gaming content including Gears of War 2, Grand Theft Auto IV, Fallout 3, Tomb Raider and Fable 2.

You can also get a look at 1 vs 100 – an exclusive interactive TV quiz show game giving gamers the chance to compete against each other and win real prizes.

Head of Xbox Neil Thompson said: “1 vs. 100 signals the next chapter in the Xbox story which is set to take home entertainment to a whole new level by putting the consumer in the driving seat of their own TV show.”

Films available for rent from 250 Microsoft Points (£2.08) for up to 14 days from rental and 24 hours after beginning playback.
