Meanwhile O2's new 3G handset – dubbed the Cocoon – will hold around 500 tracks on its 2GB internal memory. The white clamshell phone features a minimalist design with blue LED display on the fascia that you can tailor to feature the information you want on it, such as what MP3s are playing, what time it is or a few words from your latest text messages.

It's not loaded with features, but the 2 megapixel camera with 4x zoom is pretty good and you can hook wireless Bluetooth headphones or speakers up to it.

Out next month, the Cocoon will also sync with the O2 – the old Millennium Dome – so you'll be able to download maps and other cool info and applications direct to the phone on your visit.
