I think they should make a third film because there are already rumours floating about that Johnny Depp will play the Riddler and Philip Seymour Hoffman will play the Penguin. Plus Christopher Nolan is just doing this as some publicity thing of course he'll make a third one especially if The Dark Knight was the worlds second grossing film of all time! Also Two-Face is D-E-D! Aarron Eckhart confirmed it. Warner Bros is milking Heath Ledgers death and its unfair, re-releasing it in January is just another scam to make more money! The Dark Knight really wasn't as good as the hype made it out to be Iron Man was far superiour and so was the new Hulk. I liked Dark Knight and thought that evryone did a good job but when the directors do something like this it puts people off of the movie so I wish that he'd just stop pulling this crap and get on the third one already!

I think that they should make a new Batman movie. Obviously, they can't recast the Joker, but Batman fights other Villains too. Personally, I like Catwoman, but they have plenty of others to choose from. But I don't like how the Dark Knight ended, with his fleeing the cops.
I think that it would be very interesting to fast forward several years, maybe with the people of Gotham calling for Batman to return b/c of the cities many problems. Personally, I don't think the character of Bruce could stop fighting crime. If another Batman did come out, I would definitely go see it. Maybe its just me, but I couldn't bare it if Batman goes hated forever. Even if he doesn't really exist.

Sorry, I'm also SICK of Johnny Depp. Smug, boy-faced immature OVERRATED actor who gets off on playing aloof... as the Riddler? We already had the Joker. The Riddler will feel so "PG" post-Ledger. And Phillip Seymour Hoffman was great in Boogie Nights, he was great in the Big Lebowski, but I've found that when he's forced to play a "tour de force" role, he can be a bit boring. They'd probably have him play Penguin very odd and dainty, like Capote, and Depp play Riddler like a dashing, wise-cracking PIRATE, and it would all look very sound on paper, but it just wouldn't be electric the way The Dark Knight was. This was a movie I can respect. I can be inspired and heartbroken by. I can't see another film in this series doing the same.
I think they should either fast-forward the storyline 15 years and have one last go at it, finally make The Dark Knight Returns, cast a new Joker if they must, and perhaps a new Batman (as much as I'm fine with Christian Bale), and be done with it. Otherwise, I'm annoyed that every director/studio/fan seems to be hypnotized by the idea of a Trilogy being the only ACCEPTABLE WAY to tell a story. Sometimes stories don't follow the classic 3 Act arch. Deal with it, and let this series rest as one of the best.

I loved the recent Batman film and yes Heath was fantastic as the joker i was very impressed. I hope they do make another Batman with a new villian as every one of them has had different villians and it keeps it interesting and unpredictable , As long as theres a hero in the bat suit,i'll be at the cinema!!!

Without Heath Ledger, it just wouldnt be right and i doubt very much i would even watch it.
