I only have one comment to make, Carole, your definition of a racist as a "white" supremacist or jingoist is incorrect. Racists come in all shapes and colours, not just white. I know this because as a black woman in a mixed relationship I have had comments from both sides including family.

As far as I can see all Richard Hammond has done is buy a new home. What's wrong with that? You seem to have a hang up over his pay rise from Top Gear, there are more highly paid celebs out there then Mr Hammond Carol. And as for his whopping pay packet from Morrisons, maybe your acidic comments are better aimed at them, for paying him that much, instead of offering better deals to their customers.
Putting TG to one side, remember he made a fortune from his best selling book,he also has another book to come, and his wife has seemingly been asked to pen a novel or two, plus with other tv commitments, maybe you'll have to wait to see the For Sale sign outside his new abode. I agree with much od what Carole Malone says in her News of The World Columns about the missing Maddie McCann,but mention it truthfully in the religious negative sensemand no-one wants to touch itmfor fear of upsetting dwindling church brainweshing! As a positive athiest and proven more tolerant! Why has'nt the pious Pontiff the Pope mhaving prayed to God for this innocent little mite's deliverance,been successfill? And bearing in mind;"suffer little children to come unto me!"
Firstly,the McCann saga-and our fervent hope is that they find her-has been bathed in mystery since the first stumbling steps made to find her! Indeed, it is always wisest after the event! My venom,directed at the--"i could have told you so"burks- born out by ecclesiastical double standards,and the fact that the devoutly catholic mcCanns sought solace from "divine intervention!" Such faith and the often misguided! These desparate parents sought the prayers of a pious Pontiff! The Pope in the Vatican! Surely,ajust God in heaven would show the way,and since we are taught that an entity that knows all our thoughts and knows what will happen before it does,will without doubt show us the way? Poppycock,and horse feathers! Why are all the other folk still missing? Why has Gillian Tate from Aylesbere in Devon Still absent for more than thirty years,and still no clues? Even the soothsayers,clairvoyants and dodgy supernatural and fraudulant ghost busters employed by the Mccanns in their desparate clutching at straws,failed to trace the poor little mite? Even "sniffer dogs have faied as well as the dicky DNA and genetic programming,has failed to lead us to her! but still we can only live in hopes!
I agree with Carole's comments re Gail Porter. I lost my hair when I was 15, shaved off what was left and decided that people will have to take me as they find me and if they don't like it - tough! Hair loss has never hampered my life in any way, I have enjoyed a fantastic social life, a wonderful supporting family and a good career, however, life events made me stop thinking about myself and being 'brave' and give more thought to others. Aged 31 I began wearing wigs - for the sake of my children then aged 1 and 3, simply because I didn't want them to be singled out and ridiculed for having a 'bald' mum. The wig is disgarded when I get home from work and neither myself or family are embarrassed by my baldness. I am now in my fourtys, my children are teenagers and I know I did the right thing by protecting them form the cruel jibes from others. Better it be their own personal decision to discuss the fact that their mum has no hair, than an issue that is forced upon them to explain or defend. I admire Gail Porter for her bravery and boldness, but wearing a wig, to her advantage, will not make her any less brave. And it can be fun - any colour, any style, any time and no expensive trips to the hairdressers! :-)
A fate worse than death would be if Madeleine is alive and still in the clutches of these persons and no is bothering to look for or find her.
I don't think that this revelation is new to the McCanns either. They've probably been living with it for months and having to put up with Police botch-ups, smears and innuendo.
Do you honestly believe that if Madelaine has been snatched to order by a paedophile gang, that they would parade her about the streets of Europe. Get real. If this is the case the kid won't see the light of day again
Scotland Yard said this intelligence was 'flawed', the Belgium Police said they no of no such Paedophile Ring. So why has this rubbish been touted. As one Child Protection Expert from Brussels commented ' they snatch children from the poorest areas of Europe and North Africa, who are hardly missed, not from middle class English Doctor's on holiday. Children from reasonably affluent familes are ever hardly targeted because their cases become too high profile.
Having Madeleine back has to be the most important thing for the McCanns.After all she is just a little girl who did not ask for this to happen and needs her family.
Whatever happened to Madeleine is just terrible and I sincerely hope now that Mccanns have the files that the new info will lead them to their daughter.
