Rachel Wins!

Oh my Gosh!

She did it! And we did it! Justice was served. The lassy from the valleys took the BB9 crown from the cranky Scotsman with a 51.3% margin. Close, but that'll do it. A hundred grand to the Welsh girl. And why not?

Who deserved it more, exactly?

Bb9_d93_e11_04_wenn2059924 It was worth it just to see the bitterness on Luke's face.

I can't quite believe Davina decided to dedicate so much of the Sara interview to the showmance with Darnell. I mean, it must have been over half the interview was spent with Sara saying either "I don't know" or "amazing". Rex and Rachel never even got a mention. Nor Stuart, whom she clearly fancied the socks off more than she did the angry rapper.

Makes no sense to me.

Mikey was good. At his best, in fact. Damning the bullies, and speaking his mind as always. I don't think he even minded not winning. It must be kind of hard when everyone tells you you'll win when you don't. But he gave a good interview. Mind, he works on the radio so he's been around.

Bb9_d93_e14_14_wenn2059979 And Rachel? Well, she played up to the stereotype, didn't she? Davina told her she sat on the fence, and she agreed! Hey, it wasn't just the diary room where she spoke her mind.

I'd have loved it if they'd have shown just one clip of her tearing someone apart. Preferably Rex. She did do it, believe me. And if she had sat on the fence the whole time, she'd never have won.

It was the combination of plain-speaking and naivety that made her so refreshing. There were plenty of housemates who were plain-speaking, plenty who were naive. But to do both was rare. But that's our Rach.

Bb9_d93_e14_21_wenn2059987Still, not knowing Darnell was black! What do these people talk about in there, I sometimes wonder. You'd have thought they'd know everything there is to know about each other, wouldn't you?

Anyway, she won. Sometimes the best stories have the happiest endings.

I'm off for a drink and a lie-down. Back tomorrow, when I've sobered up. The good girl won!
