The Silent Treatment

So, nominations. Always the key moment of the week, the one place where we learn who likes who, who hates who, and what subtle undercurrents are going on. Indeed, without the LIVE FEED, you could say they are more critical than ever.

They didn't show'em.

Okay, they don't always show all of them, and that's been going on for a couple of years now, but they do at least tell us the numbers, and who voted for whom. But on last night's show we weren't even told. Just a brief wrap at the end saying how Marcus and Freddie were up.

Likewise, if you check out their website, and I don't want to slag off a rival, because that would be too easy, but basically it's rubbish. They don't tell us, and their news updates are even more behind then ours are. They're the ones who are watching this 24/7, the only people in the world who are doing it, and we know more than they do!

Still, here it is, gleaned from various sources. It's unofficial, but I believe this is how it panned out:

Charlie nominated Marcus and Rodrigo.

Sophie nominated Freddie and Marcus.

Freddie nominated Noirin and Lisa.

Karly nominated Freddie and Marcus.

Kris nominated Freddie and Siavash.

Lisa nominated Marcus and Freddie.

Marcus nominate Lisa and Freddie.

Noirin nominated Freddie and Siavash.

Rodrigo nominated Marcus and Freddie.

Siavash nominated Charlie and Lisa.

Which means that the totals were:

Freddie 7
Marcus 5
Lisa 3
Siavash 2
Charlie 1
Noirin 1
Rodrigo 1

Neither Kris nor Sophie got any. Nor Karly. Marcus nominated the Fredster! Rodrigo didn't nominate Charlie!  I suppose it's possible that BB are too busy dealing with the voting scandal to keep up with matters. I don't think for one second this is a conspiracy. The last thing BB wants it Kris's votes going to Marcus, given that the whole point of sticking Charlie, Kris and Sophie up was to save Marcus. Not because Marcus is so crucial to them, and they won't have much liked his outburst against them last week, but another Freddie victory against one other who isn't in the Lisa Crew is far too predictable.

I accept that Charlie had to be punished. He did imply he'd nominate Rodrigo, but I actually thought they were pretty tough on Kris and Sophie. Sophie said that they all knew Fred would be up. Well, don't they all think that? Fred himself could have said that. And Kris actually contradicted her, saying he thought people might be giving him a break this week.

Again, Fred could have said that. I suppose you could say that both statements imply that they had both nominated him, at least once in the past, but I'm sure there have been worse examples that have gone unpunished. The way Sophie and Karly both nominated Marcus for the exact same reason looked pretty fishy to me.

I'm almost starting to feel sorry for Kris. Only one nomination ever, from Siavash last week, and on Friday he's out of there.
