Freddie v Sree
It isn't official, but the Sun confirm my prediction of yesterday that it would be these two fighting it out on Friday.
They've been right every week so far this series, but last time they also posted the number of nominations each got. Not this time. What does that mean? It's possible that one or two of them were banned or punished in some way for discussing nominations.
Last week, for example, five of the housemates not only nominated the same two people, they also offered very similar reasons.
Of course, what exactly constitutes "discussing nominations" is a very grey area, and the punishments have varied enormously over the years. From putting all the rule-breakers up, to showing footage of the discussion to all the housemates, to merely depriving the discusser from being allowed to nominate, we've had it all.
Still, it probably doesn't change things. Sree and Freddie would surely have been up anyway. Hey, if I can predict it, anyone can.
Yesterday, I suggested that Freddie might take the news quite complacently. I think he'd certainly think he'd win. You can hardly blame him, he's won three times running.
But complacently? Maybe when he has his little fireside chats with Marcus and Siavash he'll say he's pretty confident. But the battle going on with Kris has been notched up a few pegs lately. Kris really despises Freddie and is happy to let everyone know it. That will take the wind out of the Fredster.
Sree, unfortunately, will become more insufferable than ever. He'll do his shocked, frightened rabbit look, and constantly look for reassurance from everyone - including us.
Look forward to plenty of "Am I a bad person?" queries over the coming days and endless threats in the diary room of wanting to walk. And lots more clowning around to show what a fun guy he is.
That ought to wind Lisa and Noirin up more than it does already. He'll go on Friday. Some of the Lisa crew might be a bit surprised. But they'll also be relieved.
He's been useful voting fodder so long as he was on their side, but he's also worn them out and he just doesn't listen. There will be a part of them that maybe thinks we the public might have taken to him the way you feel sorry for a lost puppy, but to live with he must be even more exhausting than Freddie.
The most interesting reaction will be that of Marcus. What will he do without his whipping boy? Will he finally make that play for Noirin? He's going to have to work well over the weekend to avoid getting nominated next week.
