Fallen Angel
As expected, Angel has taken it badly.
The clever tactical thing to do when you've been told you might be evicted, is to be nice and friendly. Don't take it too personally. Smile. The viewers hate a miseryguts. You're one of the lucky ones to get chosen for a gameshow and there you are sulking like you've just had your foot bitten off by a very angry tiger.
That's the main reason viewers like Freddie, after all. For his indomitable cheeriness.
It sure isn't for his singing or his political views. But instead of trying to ingratiate herself with the others, she's done the opposite. Freddie's just carried on being Freddie, whereas Angel has withdrawn.
Last night she refused to get involved with the cleaning, and Noirin had another go at her.
Of course, if she really thinks she's going, who can blame her? Spending your last night scrubbing dishes and cleaning windows is the last thing you'd want to be doing.
Of course, BB will try and edit it so that the battle is close, but they'll really have little to play with. She'll be lucky to get 30%, I imagine.
It's been an odd three weeks for Angel. The only way she was ever going to win was to lie low and slowly get us to like her. And have a bit of fun while you're about it.
In BB5 Nadia was going nowhere till she survived a three way eviction, whereupon she went from being a 50-1 outsider to hot favourite inside a week. Other people panicked, she took it well, and suddenly viewers warmed to her.
Angel could have won this on the same 'weirdo foreigner with fun and integrity who stood up to the bullies' ticket if she'd played it right. But she didn't have allies. Nadia surrounded herself with the Lipgloss Bitches.
But the only angels in this house were Charlie's.
How will it play out next week? I keep thinking HMs will lay off nominating Freddie, but it never happens. Maybe they're figuring the opposite: he's a good safe bet. Whoever's up against him will always lose. So long as it isn't them, then they only have to worry about one person to pick each week, rather than two.
Now if that's the case, then it depends more than ever who the other bad guy gets to be.
Yesterday I'd have thought it would have been Marcus, but he's done a lot of building bridges lately. Unlike Angel, Marcus has spent a lot of time trying to win people over. Even Lisa.
But he's not just a patsy. He was pretty reasonable with his advice to Angel on the highlights last night, and during the night he did try and tell Noirin again, that she does overdo things.
That Noirin. She should listen to her uncle Marcus. I said on the first night that I thought Marcus would make the last week. After a bad week, he could yet turn it around.
Even Sree: the others are getting used to Sree. If Noirin keeps bossing people around, she could be in for a very big surprise on Tuesday. She's actually making a play for Queen Bee right now, but Lisa's got that job, and Charlie, Kris and Sophie are quite happy with that.
Noirin is playing with fire.
